K.J. Hippensteel
Swing, u/s Joe, u/s Dwayne, u/s Josh, u/s Bob Enright

K.J. is a Georgia native, born and raised in Marietta. He is a proud alumi of the Pebblebrook High School Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts, where he began his training as an actor, singer, dancer, and where he found his passion as a performer. Once he started, he couldn’t stop. He soon earned a full scholarship to several colleges for musical theatre, but decided to go to Wright State University in Dayton, OH after seeing a production of Parade on their main stage, which is ironically a story that takes place “in a town called Marietta.” Since graduating he has performed in several theatres around the country, and, against his will, has become a VERY good waiter. K.J. is lucky, and thankful to have an extremely large, and extremely supportive family.  His family will travel ANYWHERE to see him perform. They rented a bus to drive 21 people to New Jersey from Georgia on a 16 hour road trip to see him as Glen Gulia in the 1st National Tour of The Wedding Singer, and have traveled as far as Brazil to see him perform on a cruise ship! Growing up in the south, he always has, naturally, been a big fan of country music. He went to his first concert at two years old to see Don Williams, and was quoted to be “the youngest country music fan” in his local newspaper. He is, therefore, obviously excited to be working on a musical written by Dolly Parton herself, The Queen of Country Music!
